MARKET RESEARCH & ANALYSIS
Market surveys help to gain a deeper understanding of new markets, needs and target groups—especially where markets are in motion, conditions are changing rapidly, or new offerings are just emerging. I support companies and organizations in systematically analyzing relevant developments, identifying opportunities and barriers, and deriving viable courses of action. They provide guidance where decisions should not be made on gut instinct.
Depending on the issue at hand, I combine different qualitative and strategic approaches, for example:
- Qualitative interviews
- Discussions with experts and stakeholders
- Secondary analyses and environmental analysis
- Mapping of relevant actors/stakeholders
- SWOT / opportunity-risk analysis
The end result is a condensed basis for decision-making with relevant developments, needs, opportunities, barriers, and prioritized fields of action.
Typical questions include:
- Which target groups will become more important in the future?
- What needs and barriers shape this market?
- Which topics and services have the greatest potential?
- Where do existing offerings fail to meet the realities of life for the target groups?
- Which actors, trends, and framework conditions are strategically relevant?
- Which areas of action should be prioritized first?

AAL: Active Assisted Living
Demographic change, combined with a shortage of skilled workers and money in the care sector, is changing the way we spend the last third of our lives. Care is increasingly becoming a family responsibility, which means that people have to dig deep into their own pockets. This is a social time bomb that many people and politicians are not yet aware of.
One solution: AAL – Active Assisted Living. This term refers to assistive technologies and concepts that enable people to live as long and as independently as possible in good health and with a high quality of life. In care organizations, they relieve the burden on staff, increase quality, and make the organization as a whole more responsive. The result of this market survey is a map of the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and risks of assistive technologies.
Skills shortages in the labor market & strengths from Covid
What impact is the shortage of skilled workers in technology having, and what skills are lacking in the labor market? What skills will be in demand in the future?
COVID has confronted companies with a multitude of challenging dynamics simultaneously: the pandemic has acted as an accelerant, mercilessly exposing weaknesses in companies.
A total of 35 executives from the building sector answered the questions. The result is a map of the current challenges, but also of the lessons learned from the pandemic, which are important drivers of resilience and crisis resistance.
